About the Founder
Al Hutter studied Anthropology at WLU in Canada, to gain perspective that is rich with empathy and sensitivity. While achieving her BA, she taught herself how to sew, and became enthralled in the process of creating clothing. After graduating, she later moved to London, England to immerse herself in the London fashion scene.
Al learnt construction techniques by interning with London designers and worked for high end flagship retail stores. Later she moved back to Canada and continued working for a variety of garment production studios, including working as design assistant to Cirque Du Soleil.
Now living in Montréal, she launched aleur to help people feel beautiful at home. The brand focuses on local production, local fabric sourcing, and innovative design to create quality sustainable loungewear for all. Through this wide range of life experience she's able to provide her clientele with a deep understanding of their needs for comfort, function and freedom.
